For me, successful photo shoot is not complete without the behind the scene photos and group pictures.

So here we goes.

This is my first model shoot held here in KL. I was invited with my fellow photography enthusiast for outdoor photo shoot at Lake Titiwangsa. This place is famous to some Filipino’s because of the movie done here by the popular tandem of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz titled "Miss You Like Crazy".

The model name is Trishia Marie, a 12 years old young woman. First year high school this coming school year.

This photo shoot are organized by Kuya Allan. This is also the first year anniversary of the group.

How to cook Corned Beef with Potato

Having time to cook is hard to get sometime especially when you were working fulltime. So we need some menu that fit to our time and availability of food we have stocked. Since I just came from vacation last month I bought some can goods for me to stock in my kitchen. But I don’t want to eat can goods directly from it. I usually cooked it like the corned I have here. 

Ingredients for Corned Beef with Potato
Corned Beef – 1 can
Potato – 1 medium size – cut in small cube
Garlic – 2 cloves – chopped
Onion – 1 medium size – chopped
Egg – 1 piece (optional)
Salt – to taste
Pepper – to taste
Cooking Oil

How I do itHeat the sauce pan and add oil. Add the garlic and onion, stir. Add the potato and stir for 2 minutes. Add the corned beef and stir for a minute. Add 1/2 cup of water and bring to a boil. Add 1 egg (optional) and season with salt and pepper. Stir and simmer for a minute.

Serve it with love.

Tagalog Version
Initin ang kasirola at maglagay ng mantika. Igisa ang bawang at sibuyas. Ilagay ang patatas at haluin muli ng 2 minuto. Idagdag ang corned beef at haluin ng isang minuto. Maglagay ng 1/2 tasa ng tubig at pakuluin. Pagkakulo ilagay ang 1 itlog (opsyonal) at maglagay ng asin at paminta sa iyong panlasa. Haluin at takpan ng isa pang minuto.

Ihain ito nang may pagmamahal.

How to cook Tortang Talong (Eggplant Omelet) with Ground Meat

Last month I post about how to cook tortang talong in a simple way. But now let’s make tortang talong more adventurous. Tortang talong with ground meat it means you can use ground pork or ground beef. Adding ground meat makes the food tastier.

Ingredients for Tortang Talong (Eggplant Omelet) with Ground Meat
Eggplant – 4 pieces –medium size
Ground Pork/beef – 1/4 kilo
Egg – 3 pieces – beaten
Onion – 1 medium size – chopped
Garlic – 3 cloves – chopped
Salt and pepper – to taste
Cooking oil

How I do it
First you need to grill the eggplants until the color of the skin turns to black. Peel of the skin of the eggplant once it was already cold. In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs and some salt and pepper and beat. Place and flatten the eggplants on a big plate or just enough to accommodate the size of the eggplant. Add the beaten egg and dip.

Now heat the pan and add cooking oil. Add the garlic and onions, stir in 2 minutes and add the ground beef. Stir occasionally until its cook. Set aside.

Again heat the pan and add cooking oil. Add the eggplant that dip in egg, add the ground beef flatten on top. Add some egg when necessary. Flip carefully to cook the other side. Do it one at a time.

Sa Tagalog

Una ihawin muna ang talong hanggang sa kulay ng balat ay maging itim. Balatan ang balat ng talong kapag ito ay malamig na. Sa isang mangkok, ilagay ang tatlong itlog at kaunting asin at paminta at batiin. Ilagay at patagin ang talong sa isang malaking plato o lalagyanan na sapat ang laki ng mga talong. Idagdag ang binating itlog at ibabad.

Ngayon initin ang kawali at ilagay ang mantika. Ilagay ang bawang at sibuyas, ihalo ng 2 minuto at igisa ang karne ng baka. Haluin paminsan-minsan hanggang sa maluto. Itabi.

Muling initin ang kawali at maglagay ng mantika. Idagdag ang talong na binabad sa itlog, idagdag ang ginisang karne ng baka at patagin sa itaas. Magdagdag ng unting itlog kapag kinakailangan. Ibaligtad ng maingat at lutuin. Gawin ito ng paisa isa.

How to cook Pork Menudo

Pork menudo is one of the all time favorite of Filipino. This is usually served every occasion as menudo served with potato and carrots. Menudo is also popular in restaurant, canteen or eatery.
I remember during college days. Borokyo carenderia near our school is one of the best foods in a cheap price. I usually order their special menudo. I really like taste even the potato taste like pork.LOL
Ingredients for Pork Menudo
Pork – 1 kilo-boneless - chopped
Pork liver – 1/2 kilo
Hotdog – 4 pieces (optional)
Bell Pepper – 1 small size – cut in square
Garlic – 1/2 head – minced
Onion – 1 large size – chopped
Raisins – 1 small box
Potato – 2 medium sizes – cut in cubes
Carrot – 1 medium size – cut in cubes
Pepper – to taste
Salt – to taste
Sugar – to taste
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 c.
1/4 c. cornstarch – dissolve in 1/2 cup of water
Cooking oil

How I do it
In a casserole put some water, add the pork, salt and bring to a boil. Cook the pork, remove, chopped and set aside.
In a sauce pan, add the oil, heated before adding the garlic and onions. Add the chopped pork and soy sauce, stir for 5 minutes. Add the liver, potato and carrot, stir for 5 minutes. Add the tomato sauce, hotdogs, pepper and salt to taste. Add some water, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the dissolved cornstarch, salt and sugar to taste. Add the bell pepper and raisins, cover and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
Serve with love.
Sa Tagalog
Sa isang kaserola, maglagay ng mga tubig, idagdag ang baboy, asin, at pakuluan. Pagkaluto ng baboy, alisin hiwain at itabi.
Sa isang kawali, ilagay ang mantika, initin muna bago idagdag ang bawang at sibuyas. Idagdag ang baboy at toyo at haluin ng 5 minuto. Idagdag ang atay ng baboy, patatas at karot, haluin muli ng 5 minuto. Idagdag ang tomato sauce, hotdogs, paminta at dagdagan ng asin sa iyong panglansa. Magdagdag ng ilang tubig, takpan at pakuluin ng 10 minuto. Idagdag ang tinunaw na gawgaw, asin, at asukal sa iyong panlasa. Ilagay na din bell pepper at pasas, takpan at hayaan kumulo ng 2 minuto.

Baby Z 4th Month

Baby Z celebrate his 4th month with his grandma. His uncle and auntie bought some food to complete the celebration.

 This is the first time that baby celebrate his another month old without his parent. My wife and I still need to go back here in KL. But soon, my wife will go back to take care our baby full time as she already resigned to our company. This is one of the tough decision we make as a family.

How to cook Beef Adobo (Adobong Baka)

This is not a usual dish in the Philippines. Pork and chicken are usually use if you want to eat adobo. Since, pork here in KL is not available for some supermarket and some are double the normal price. I always try this even when I am in Dubai before. I heard that beef adobo is popular in some places in the Philippines like in Batangas. This is a must try menu...

Ingredients for beef adoboBeef adobo – 1/2 Kilo – cut in cube
Garlic – 1/2 Head – crushed
Peppercorns – 1 tablespoon
Vinegar -  1 spoon
Soy sauce – 2 spoon
Chili – 2 pieces
Bay Leaf – 3 pieces
Pepper – to taste
Salt – to taste
Cooking oil

How I do itSince beef are need more time to cook than pork. Let the beef boiled first for 20 minutes and separate the beef. Then prepare the pan and put the oil. Add the garlic for 1 minute and put the beef and stir. Pour the vinegar, soy sauce, peppercorn and the bay leaf. Add some water, cover and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the beef is tender. Put the chili and add some salt and pepper to taste. 
Serve it with love.
Sa TagalogDahil ang karne ng baka ay kailangan ng karagdagang panahon upang maluto kaysa sa baboy o manok. Hayaan munang palambutin and karne ng baka, pakuluan ng 20 minuto at hiwalay ihiwalay ito. Pagkatapos ihanda ang kawali at ilagay ang mantika. Idagdag ang bawang ng 1 minuto at ilagay ang mga karne ng baka at haluin. Ibuhos ang suka, toyo, paminta at ang bay leaf. Magdagdag ng unting tubig, takpan at hayaang kumulo ng 15-20 minuto hanggang sa karne ng baka ay lumambot. Ilagay ang mga sili at magdagdag ng asin at paminta at lasahan.
